Dear friends, From the 8 - 18 July 2008, we are planning a journey of discovery, work, play and a promise of enrichment....and we invite you to join. Every year, a group of bright and talented young people come together in Birzeit, Palestine, to participate in a music camp which, every year to date, results in some amazing music making.

The grounds in which the music camp is conducted is in need of a facelift and so whilst these clever musicians make beautiful music, we plan to make a beautiful garden so that at the end of their days of toil they have an environment that can be shared and enjoyed. Upon the completion of the garden we will leave behind a legacy that can be enjoyed by other campers for years to come. Our plans are ambitious but not unachievable.

We would like to renovate a large part of the garden, complete some planting and put in a fire pit for those camp-fire sing-alongs. In order to achieve such ambitions, we need two things. 1. Volunteers: We have accommodation for 15 volunteers within the grounds. We will seek additional accommodation should we have more than 15 people interested, so please sign up as soon as possible if you would like to secure your place. 2. Money: For those attending, there will be a nominal sum involved for bed and board.

We also need to raise a figure of approximately £5,000 / $10,000 / AED35,000 to pay for building equipment, gardening tools, garden furniture and plants. Any sum of money surplus to our needs for the garden will be donated to the Edward Said Conservatory for instruments for the camp. Attached is a summary of the camp with more details should you wish to attend and/or lend your support financially.
